Terms of Service

The service

SheetCapture lets you send data to an API, which adds it as rows to a Google Sheet you've shared with us. The service is operated by Alan Montgomery in the United Kingdom.

Your account

• You must give accurate details and keep your password and access key secure.
• You're responsible for all requests made with your access key. If it's exposed, contact us and we'll help you replace it.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

Plans and usage

• Each plan includes a number of requests per month, shown on our pricing page. Your allowance refills every month on the day you signed up. Unused requests don't roll over.
• A request that fails because of Google Sheets is refunded. Requests that fail validation or authentication aren't counted.
• You can change plan at any time. Usage so far that month carries over to the new plan.
• Prices are in GBP. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of your plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use SheetCapture to:

• collect data unlawfully, or without the knowledge or consent required by law;
• send spam, malware, or content that's illegal or infringes someone else's rights;
• overload, probe or interfere with the service, or get around its limits;
• resell or share access to the API in a way that isn't part of your own product or website.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why where we can.

Your data and Google Sheets

The data you collect and the sheets you write to belong to you. We never store your submissions: see our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for your Google account, who your sheets are shared with, and complying with Google's terms.

Availability

We work hard to keep SheetCapture running, but the service is provided “as is”. It depends on Google Sheets, which may limit or reject requests outside our control, so we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Don't rely on SheetCapture as the only copy of important data.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending the service

You can stop using SheetCapture and delete your account at any time. We may end the service or your account with reasonable notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and email you about significant changes before they take effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by its courts.
